Emirates Auction is a charity-based organization that auctions exclusive car-number-plates and then uses its profit to fund special-needs projects.
Real-time countdown timers were used to keep users aware of auction end-dates; the results of auctions were, in like manner, posted in real-time. This behavior was achieved by using an XML back-end that communicated with an interactive view that we wrote in Flash.
