LWA

The LWA is an effort to advance astronomy by using inexpensive antenna stations to build a very large aperture to probe the depths of space at the lowest frequencies

Creating LWA's logo was pretty much open to us, the only restriction being that we had to go with a single color.

Since the company is situated in a desert area and surrounded by mountains, and since their projects mainly deal with different systems that send and receive signals to and from satellites, we thought it would be a good idea to create a negative space in the middle of the logo in the form of a wave. The wave would create a mountain shape at the bottom part and a sky at the top.

In other words, we would have a sequence from bottom to top showing land, waves, and the open sky: the same sequence that their equipment follows when communicating with satellites in outer-space.
